I like Ghana, at the last World Cup my sister was dating a Ghanaian and in the 4 weeks the games were on I spoke to him more than I did my sister. So the black stars became my second team and after impressing in the group stages they were given a knockout game with Brazil. If I recall correctly they certainly did themselves proud in that game.
Onwards four years and the mighty Essien is missing, a player who would be a loss for most any team at the finals. Ghana look quick, strong and very comfortable going forward. Kevin Prince Boateng is building on a good season with Portsmouth, and very much looking forward to seeing him play his brother when Ghana lineup against Germany in 10 days time. Ghana look comfortable in possession and definitely have a chance of progressing to the next stage.
Both these teams seem comfortable on the ball, play it on the floor, Serbia do have a good defensive platform with both Vidic and Lukovic, going forward they have the 'Crouch of the East' in Zigic for an outlet, who does have the cliched 'good feet for a big man'.
i like the look of Tagoe and Gyan. Dynamic going forward, great movement and quite industrious.
Both teams have a chance in this group, looking forward to seeing Germany who aren't as strong as they were, Klose didn't really get a game this season so should be fresh if nothing else. Pobolsky has a grand total of 2 Bundsliga goals this season gone. Ballack is a big loss for the Germans though I can't believe that's been based on his Chelsea form. Thomas Mueller certainly had a good season at Bayern, he's young and full of dreams, though not sure he's guaranteed the service for Germany he's taken for granted at Bayern with Ribery and Robben
There are goals in them there hills and hopefully Ghana can mine them out.
